Johnny Cash Homage Booklet

Typography wasn’t always my favorite part of design. When I first began my job at Compass, I was offered the opportunity to take a typography course by Seattle’s best, Jeff Barlow at The School of Visual Concepts. The course was 10-weeks long and over that time I became infatuated with the typography world.
The final project for the course was to create an editorial piece of Johnny Cash’s last album, “American Dream IV: The Man Comes Around.” We were instructed to cover all songs in both lyrical and poetic forms and create a piece that was “museum” worthy.
